National (ha) University Service Day

For University Service Day we went to a retirement home and a soup kitchen. First we stopped by this church by the Colosseum

Their bingo is different than oursSo one of the residents took us on a tour of the building. It was absolutely beautiful. Not like the retirement homes we have in America. They actually treat their old people well. Here are views from the roof

Chicken

Soooo the Chinese people in Italy definitely don't make sweet and sour like the Chinese people in America do. Theirs is super vinegary . The fried rice is nummmy though =]

Levis

So i was shopping at the grocery store yesterday, which happens to be in the basement of a department store, so after I was finished buying my 100% Ananas juice and milk i decided to look around a bit. The first floor is mostly mens, and the levis sign in the corner caught my eye. Now granted a pair of 501's in the US on sale are about 32 USD, when i looked at the 501's in this store they were 89 euro...considering the exchange rate thats about 130 USD. Now i understand why europeans love to come to America to buy their clothes.

Cuisine

this pasta dish with ground beef and peasalong with fried balls of mashed potatoes and fried balls of rice and mozzerella is what i've deemed edible for this week. I tried egg gelato yesterday. Not goood.

Wedding Cake

So today we went on a walking tour with Dominico to this building nicknamed the wedding cake. I forget the real name of it but it has two museums and some more stuff inside. Anyways we went up to the top of it - its almost like rome's version of the empire state building where you can pay to walk around on the roof- and here are some pictures.
